OK, so that tree is the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I love the texture you created with the ripped, twisted and inked canvas strips. I wish I could touch it, lol. This is the kind of page that you really do need to see IRL to completely appreciate. Your grass is great. The pics of course are adorable. You have such amazing creativity. I love seeing your work. Your gallery fills my faves. It completely made my day, Kelly, to find something new in your gallery. And a new blog to boot! What a happy day for this groupie.

I've been waiting for a layout from you and this GORGEOUS CREATION was really worth the wait. That tree is so unique and awesome and I so appreciated the work that went into this...all those leaves. Beautiful details..I made it big and just stared at every little thing..from the sparkly fairies to the turned down corner. And the photos are just beautiful.
Stunning work Kelly! That tree is sooo awesome. Think I have some canvas left over from my painting days...will have to give this a try. The "bark" is gorgeous...such texture!

OH STOP IT! You are just too much for words! First of all I'm glad to see you back, if even for only a moment. I am so glad you found time to make another stunning masterpiece & shared it with us. This is so incredible Kelly! Love love love it! I hope your fairy Godmother grants your wish for more time to scrap!
Well, it's been quite awhile since I've posted a new layout. Had to oil the hinges on my gallery doors and dust the cobwebs out of the corners...ha ha! I wanted to upload this "spring" layout before summer arrives :) I've seen so many gorgeous pages here using this G45 collection "Once Upon a Springtime" and was inspired by them all. As soon as I saw these papers I thought of creating a forest scene (I have a "thing" for trees) and knew these photos of Mila would be perfect. This is the first time I've used professional photos..and these are almost 10 years old! I actually designed this 2-pager as a class in my lss, the main technique being working with canvas. Jennifer McGuire did a fantastic tutorial video with canvas and inks last year, and that's how I got the idea for the tree. Breaking news....you can find a tutorial for this canvas tree at my new blog www.kellycreates.blogspot.com. Yes, I've joined the blogging world and hope you can come by and visit me there sometimes :) A few details about this layout design: the "grass" along the bottom is made with two MS punches; all the flowers are cut with the TH Tattered flowers die; all the tree leaves are cut with a Sizzix die and my Big Shot: the darker leaves on the tree are misted with Maya Mist; the leaves in the bushes are cut from a transparency(with a Sizzix die and then coloured with TA Glimmer Glam and Glaze. The window on the left page I designed myself with shimmery teal cardstock. I added some sparkle to all the fairy wings with iridescent Stickles. It killed me not to add journalling, but this turned out to be one of those "pretty" pages is a pleasure to design because of the beauty of the papers. The title is meaningful because Mila, our youngest, is still innocent with a vivid imagination who believes in fairies....so she is "Our Fairytale." Thanks, everyone, for all your comments, and I wish my "Fairy Godmother" would put more hours into my day so I could spend more time here in the galleries :)
