Mary Katherine (Daldrop) Hoelscher
Born November 16, 1794
Wife of Anton Hoelscher, Sr.
Mother of Elizabeth, Anton, Joe, William and Ben
This story begins in 1846 when Anton Hoelscher, Sr.
along with his wife and children left Germany, on
a voyage to America. Records show that the
couple had ten children originally, however only
five were living at the time of the journey. The
couples oldest child, Elizabeth immigrated to America
some four years later with her Husband,
Theodore Buxkamper, and children. Elizabeth was
my great-great-great grandmother. (if I counted
correctly). In the corner is a small copy of
Anton Hoelscher, Sr. 's petition of naturalizaion
dated December 7, 1852.
Our Family is the largest German family recorded in Texas. There will be a reunion in 2012 in Columbus Texas.
Picture in the small locket is also a family member (hard to see).
