i am so sorry for your loss, you made a beautiful tribute to a loyal loving friend. I think all pet owners can empathize with your feelings. I know I can. Your dog was beautiful, such a lovely sweet face.
Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, such a hard thing to do-but you made such a wonderful tribute, he was a beautiful boy.
I just love your design and those pps are great
Your story moved me to tears. I am so sorry for your loss. This lo is a beautiful tribute to your much loved friend. I love the pps and punchwork here, great color choices and lovely design.
Ohhhhhhh I am so very sorry. I am just sick over you losing your faithful friend. It is sad when we have to say goodbye to a pet that we loved so much and who loved his family with such unconditional love. It is a wonderful page and he will always be in your hearts.
Oh so terribly sorry for your loss. How you managed to scrap such a lovely tribute to your beloved pet right in the midst of immediate grief is beyond me. Such a beautiful dog and a beautiful page. Take care. Hugs.
So very sorry for your loss. But this page is so wonderful and you should be proud of this amazing tribute! Alos as lucky as you feel to have has Waldo, I know Waldo felt lucky to have YOU and your family : ) You made his life a happy and healthy one and when it was time to say goodbye, you did the right thing by not making him suffer. You are so brave to do that. I LOVE the saying too. You are wonderful and thank you for sharing this beautiful part of your life with us!
So heartfelt and lovely, Vickie, I love every bit of it!
PS I just read "a Dog's Purpose" by Bruce Cameron...a beautifully done book, made me laugh and cry at the same time..I was a mess! You might want to wait a little longer before giving it a try..hugs ~Laurie
This is a beautiful tribute to your beloved dog, and I am soooo sorry about your loss. Brings tears to my eyes...that quotation is perfect. Take care, Vickie.
My deepest sympathies for you. I know it's very hard, I've had to do this myself and I dread that someday for my kitty. What a beautiful tribute to Waldo - brought tears to my eyes! And your journaling is perfect and couldn't be more true! Keep your memories happy and know he is in a better place.
Vickie-I'm so very sorry;I know how much you loved dear old Waldo and how much you'll miss him...even when you know it's coming it's so hard to say goodbye;you did the right thing letting him go, and I'm sure he always knew how much he was loved.Beautiful tribute to him...hugs to you,my dear friend, and to Winnie too, who I'm sure is missing him as well...Lynne
Such a beautiful memorial page for your beloved Waldo. I know how hard that decision is - we've had to do it several times over our 30+ years of marriage. It never gets any easier. We just went through this a year ago with our Ginger (Great Dane - 12 yrs old) - I still look up expecting to see her through the front window. I know how much you will miss him... You did a truly beautiful job with the page! (I still haven't been able to scrap a page of Ginger...)
Vickie - you have created a beautiful treasure here. I know how much Waldo meant to you and I know what a great life you gave him & how much love he gave in return. I'm so sad for you. You are right my friend, a dog does make you rich. I ordered something on Tuesday for you in Waldo's memory and you should have it in 2 weeks. You're in my prayers my dear friend!
Oh sweetie, my heart breaks for you. That decision is such a hard one, but with a loving heart, you did what was best for your precious Waldo. What a beautiful job you did creating this wonderful memorial for him-he was gorgeous! I think when Waldo gets to heaven, Daisy will be there waiting on him-they would have made such a handsome couple!!
I have tears in my eyes, too, as I write this note to you. Waldo was so blessed to have a home with you, and you were so blessed to have him in yours. Your page is a wonderful tribute to him and your love for each other. I really and truly believe that scrapping is terrific therapy!!!!! I will continue to keep you in my prayers. I absolutely LOVE your beautiful, heartfelt, and touching page. I am sure Waldo does, too.
Oh dear sweet Vickie...I am so sorry to hear this news of your beloved Waldo! This is a beautiful tribute to him and shows the love you have for him!!! Biggest hugs to you my friend!!
h Vicky...I am sooo sorry honey :( I have been there and done that so many times and very time my heart beaks into a thousand pieces so I know exactly what you went through and are still going through. Be strong my friend..you did the right thing for him. He was such a gorgeous boy and you had great times together and nothing can take that away from you. :) This is a beautiful tribute to Waldo and may he rest in peace :) Big hugs to you.
Oh, Vickie, what a beautiful memorial of your precious Waldo...He looks so sweet. I am truly sorry for your loss. We are struggling w/ the same issues w/ our elderly dog, also. It is the hardest decision and so heartbreaking....they are so loyal and such wonderful companions. You made the right decision...and hopefully one day you two will meet again! Have you read the book Dog Heaven? I bought that bk after we lost our special dog, some time ago. I like to believe that one day we will be reunited with our special pets in heaven!
So sorry to hear you lost your dear friend Waldo, it really is heartbreaking but you did the right thing in letting him go so he wasn't suffering, and this he will be thankful for. I have had to do this a few times before and it never gets any easier, whatever the pet. Sending you many hugs, you have created a beautiful tribute and now he can sit on your desk by you while you scrap. Give your other dog a hug too :)
Oh Vickie! I am so sorry for your loss, and having to make that decision is so incredilbly hard! It shows how much you love him, by not letting him suffer. This is a beautiful memorial for you precious lost family member! My heart goes out to you and your family
This is absolutely beautiful, Vickie, and such a wonderful tribute to Waldo. That smiling, kind face of his is precious. Your quote is very true. I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this and I hope, in time, you can look back at this lo and smile over the great days you had with Waldo. Thanks for sharing him with us.
oh Vickie..so so sorry for your loss of oyur darling canine..and my heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family..Waldo was more than your pet, he was your most darling faithful friend and the decision you made shows how much you loved him...
Vickie, so sorry for your loss of your beloved family member. I've had to do it twice and doesn't get any easier. The memories will always be with you. Hugs, Sue
Awwww Vickie, I know how much your fur babies mean to you and I am so very sorry for your loss and that dreaded decision! This LO shows your love and loyalty to Waldo!
Last Friday my DH and I came to terms with, and made that heart wrenching decision that every pet owner dreads - It was Waldo's time. He was losing weight drastically, at times his legs could hardly hold him up and he was having more and more accidents in the house (which believe it or not, upset him more than it did me or my DH). My DD and SIL were back from their honeymoon and were able to say their good byes. Monday I took my precious Waldo for one last short walk and that one last DREADED trip to the vet. I had these photos picked out weeks ago, as my next project and it seemed only appropriate that I use them as my memorial. I started this lo last evening after my DH went to bed. Through swollen teary eyes I worked on this and saw the sunrise before I was finished. Somehow that seemed so appropriate because Waldo and I were/are the early risers at our house. My heart aches and I miss him so much already. The journaling strips read "no matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes your rich." TFL
