After Mom & I had dinner we headed back down Post Alley to where the Market Ghost Tour offices are located. Along one of the brick buildings is the infamous Gum Wall. If I recall I think our tour guide said that it's a comedy club and the owner got tired of scraping off the gum from under the tables that he posted a sign out in front of the doorway that said "Gum Outside" so people started leaving their gum on the wall. Then the tour guide said that the city of Seattle tried pressure washing the wall twice (once w/ Coca Cola) but the gum kept coming back and became a tourist attration and so they left it and there are thousands of pices of gum all over the wall.

Well embellishments for this weren't easy to come by, so I took some polymer clay and mushed it between my fingers to look like chewed gum, added some teeth marks & pressed it, baked them and painted them. Then I took some clay and stretched it to spell out Gum Wall and baked and painted those... and WAH-LA! Homemade embellishments!

I need to find time to scrap the actual ghost tour. It was pretty cool. It was after hours through the market when the vendors and shoppers were gone. Got some cool shots of the architecture of this old place. It was a lot of fun!
