Husbands Great-Grandmother Valentina Shulicka in 1906 St. Petersboug (that's how they spelled it) Russia. She was born in Grodno
She raised George's dad from age 1 after his mother had died. In Baranovize(I also find it spelled Baranoviche) she owned a private High School, fled to Moscow, fled to St. Petersboug, that became St. Petersburg, then to Petrograd, later to Leningrad then back to St. Petersburg. They then fled to Kremenchug, to Chericov and afer long time back to Barnovicze which was now Polish and not Russian. George's father's journals are amazing! He speaks of first Christmas in St. Petersburg and shops windows all decorated, people riding horse sleighs with bells jingling and how they can feel in the air the coming Chirstmas Holidays.
For Martica's Heritage Gallery entry.
