These pictures are of me playing the first piano & first organ to be brought to California, & placed in one of the first homes on Alvera St., Los Angeles. I was on a field trip with the Jobs Daughters. I was their Musician & Musical Director on the Board. We got special permission for me to play these beautiful instruments. The piano was like playing any other piano, but the organ, that was different. This was a PUMP ORGAN! You had to pump the pedals ino order to make any sound. I'd start playing, forget about the 'pump part' & the music would start dying. Sounded like a tortured animal. It was such fun, & what a privilege for me. Thanks of peeking. ;)
