Look out for lanterns! Follow the directions below to create dazzling decorative pieces or embellish them uniquely to express your lighter side.
Die-cut 3-D Lanterns twice from patterned paper. Adhere halves of each lantern together, weave ribbon through the slits in the lantern’s sides and gather to pull top and bottom ends of the lantern closer together. Once each lantern achieves the desired shape, use either staples or brads to keep ribbon from sliding through the slits. Die-cut several Flower & Vine and Scrolls from cardstock. Adhere to top of the larger Lantern. Embellish with threaded buttons. Die-cut Butterfly #15 from patterned paper and Scrolls from cardstock. Adhere to top of the smaller Lantern. Embellish with an appliqué flower and small flowers.
