Sherry, your love shows through in this GORGEOUS tribute page, my friend. Beautifully placed embells, and pretty pops of green. (You and I have talked previously about how much we have in common. My sister died 19 years ago - this August will be 20 years, and she will always be remembered.)
WOWZA Sherry !!!!!! What a gorgeous work of art & loving tribute to your sister!!!! It is so very obvious hoe much love & care you put into every single detail here!!! All the pretty gold accents are perfect with her attire & hair color!! GORGEOUS!!!!
Thank you for sharing this touching story about your sister, Sherry. This is a most fitting tribute to her and your design is simply stunning with so many gorgeous embellies and details. The gold and black together create elegance and beauty. Love it!
Your pages are always so incredibly feminine and there's always so much to look at and love and this is no exception...just loving that flower cluster, just beautiful :)
A gorgeous tribute page "built with love". Being able to scrap a memorial page is good therapy for you and keeps her memory close. I too lost my sister and I know the loneliness and pain. But memories are precious! And you created a beautiful page!
Wow Sherry, I feel so sad for your loss and for the pain your sister went through with Marfan Syndrome. The love and care you put into this beautiful tribute is very evident. I'm sure your sister is smiling down from heaven on her kind and thoughtful sister. The design of this lo and all the interesting details, beautiful layering and embellishment work combine to make this quite a stunning piece of work. Thank you for sharing this heartfelt story with us.
This is so poignant, elegant and lovely as she must have been. I can see a sad, faraway look in her eyes and cannot fathom the depth of pain that she and all her loved ones felt. Sherry, will surely go to the site to find out about this disease. It caused you much sorrow, so will take the time, in honor of her.
Oh, WOW! I LOVE everything you did with this lo! You can tell this was made with love, and I UNDERSTAND where you're coming from because my grandmother "mama" died when I was 11 and I STILL miss her. That was 57 yrs. ago!
I can feel your pain, Sherry. This is such a wonderful tribute to your dear, sweet sister. Obviously full of love. Scrapping can be wonderful therapy for times like this. I will keep you in my prayers, for healing and comfort, my friend.
The love and care you put into this certainly does show Sherry...it is a very beautiful tribute to your precious sister. The details are just gorgeous and the white of the diecut really pops. Gorgeous page... absolutely love it!!!
My sister Louise passed away 19 years ago, although it feels like yesterday. She was only 35 years old. She lived with Marfan Syndrome and that is what took her life. I put love and care into this layout I hope others can tell. I did put a few close up pictures on my blog if you want to check them out. http://www.canadiancandy.blogspot.com/ I also put a link up for those of you who want to know about Marfan Syndrome. Thanks for looking. Sherry
BTW those two white dots you see on the back cardstock are just Pins I had it in a shadowbox and I was trying to stop it from falling forward. (looks like I lost a couple gems)
