What can i say your story is just amazing and heartwarming and your layout just adds the visual to put it all together. A masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no question about it, you are an Artist! and this work proves it! It just takes my breath away. I don't know how long I sat staring at each element of your design. Such a beautiful way to tell your mother's brave story and tell us all a bit of who she is, just wonderful! Helen
This layout is absolutely stunning - what a fabulous use of the Timepiece paper - I love how you fit the picture in the doorway! Just beautiful and a wonderful story!
Wow, this is just wonderful!! The story is amazing -- how brave she was! I can't imagine what that must have been like for her. Your layout is a fantastic tribute. The design is so gorgeous, and I love how you cut out the door frame for the picture!!! This is stunning work! Fave!
The LO is amazing, I love all the fine detail and how you framed that wonderful photo. But the story...that's what makes it perfect. I LOVE the story. So many of us forget to journal. I'm so glad you shared this with all of us!
F A B U L O U S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE that great old photo & I've gotta say.................... I've seen these pp's used a 1000 times & this one really moves me!!! I so enjoyed reading your description!!!!! Love the metal BB clock on the DA lamp post!!!!! Bog time FAV for me!!!
The layout is beautiful, then add the story....wow! My mother lived in Holland during Hitler's reign and I always remember the stories she told me of how her mother hid Jews in her attic. The strength my Oma must have had, knowing she would be killed if she had been caught, has always amazed me. I was waiting for the perfect paper and embellies, and your layout has inspired me to finally do it. Can you please let me know what you used for the lamp post? Thanks so much.

A true woman of grace, beauty and sacrifice! But she made it into a new journey and learning experience. Would be difficult to find someone with that amount of courage today. Beautiful expression of admiration, respect and love. Hope to hear your side of the journey in the future!
Swirlydoos July RR project do with the fabulous Bo Bunny Timepiece spot light kit from Swirlydoos with the addition of a few things from my stash and from other SD's kits. I have to change a few things in my journal but it will read: 1953 Verdun, France – Dad had already gone to his duty station in Verdun, so you had to fly to France with a baby, Margaret, and Craig, almost 5 at the time. The plane was struck by lightening and caught fire so the plane made an emergency landing in Newfoundland. By that time, you must have been scared out of your mind and wondering why on earth you were traveling to this foreign land. But there you were, in France, living in a house with a bullet holes from WWII in the front door. Our french landlady & her son had hidden in a cabinet in the kitchen when the Germans forced their way into her home. Fortunately they didn't look there and she was ok. You and Dad lived on the French economy and with the grace that you've had all your life, you accepted the situation and set about learning to speak French. You and our landlady, Madam Gaillard, sat with the French/English dictionary and learned to communicate. By the time we came home from France, you were speaking fluent French. http://scraptravelbark.blogspot.com/2011/07/genuine-grace.html Please see my blog for more details.
