Cute title! I really understand the heat, we are dealing with it here in the south too. But fortunately for us we have been getting a few rain showers...cools it off a little and then it gets hot and humid again!
I hope it's cooled off by now...sometimes mother Nature gives us the strangest things to photograph...well they make interesting layouts. Actually this is beautiful.
That is so sad. Up in Ohio my dad's having the opposite problem of too much rain. It's been on the dry side in south Florida and we're on water restrictions, but not as bad as what you describe.
I shall no longer be a sook(Oziem called me this term, she's sure it is in our dictionary) by complaining about not being able to breathe or survive outside house in 90 degree weather. So Georgia O'Keefe(artist I highly admire for her spunk and artistry) of you to scrap a bone! Fan punch very appropriate for this layout.
Sure wish it would rain here in Central Oklahoma. We've had 3 full weeks of over 100 degree temps - and that means WELL over 100 degrees. The coolest it's been this week was 108, and that was in the shade at about 6 pm. It's getting seriously ridiculous how hot and dry it is.
No rain means no grass. No grass means no hay. No hay means... I don't even want to think what it means. I'm going to the poor house. I just know it.
The bone is from Java's mother. She died when Java was barely 12 hours old, and we drug her body down to the canyon where the scavengers could clean up the carcass. The coyotes drug this thigh bone up into the lower pasture where it's been sitting for the past three years, and now it's bleached white and very ... well, very appropriate for photographing.
