What a precious photo, Jeannie! Fantastic design with these colors...and so perfect for this awesome heritage pic!! Love the die cut with the white stitching doodles, and using the white doily is BRILLIANT!! FAB page!!
Wow picture perfect family! Just beautiful. I like the embellishment that represent life at that time like the hen. Its like little stories within the story. Lovely work!
What a touchingly sweet, wonderfully lovely family page. I just adore the classic hues and charming use of a doily here, they really reinforce the era of this lovely photograph.
This is a charming layout! I love how you managed to scrap it in a way that you feel the old-fashioned, but it is clean and simple at the same time. Lovely!
Love this, what a nice change to see bold, bright colors on a vintage lo. The photo is precious and I love the doillie. The clouds are superb - great job.
wow wow wow wow wow...this is just amazing...the red white & blue and all the little embellies plus the doily totally evoke the era of that wonderful photo. What a treat this lo is..tfs
Love that "5 for 1.oo" and the clouds and that little circle house. I tried to make clouds once and hated them and scrapped--meaning trashed-- the whole idea. Lovely lo. I don't see any damage on the photo, but in rl I would think it would add charm.
I absolutely LOVE this page! I really like those blue alphas and how you used them for your names! That photo is a true treasure!!!!! You scrapped it beautifully, my friend!
I love this!! The photo is so precious and has turned out fabulous! I have many pics with family members missing, even my own children! Love that you included the chook and the title is so clever. Bet you can't get 5 for a dollar now...lol!!! Beautifully done and wonderful memory to scrap! Love it!!!
It was tough finding a photo of my family all together when there were just 5 of us....(two more boys came after this). I found this one taken in 1954 but it was small and so I enlarged it but you could see damage..tried to clean it up but it isn't that clear. This is entered in 2 challenges, week 5 of old page maps cycle 30 sketch challenge and the Old Glory color challenge. The papers are all from my stash..the little round thingies and the hen (we had a hen)are cut from an October Afternoon pp called root beer barrells. I made the clouds. And I am addicted to doilies. The blue alphas are by Lil Davis Designs and is one of the first things I ever purchased for scrappin'.
