I really love how this lo turned out! The stitching is really great and I especially love the way lined up the pp so the circle is almost complete, very clever. Love the circles, creative idea! Fantastic job!
Great colour scheme and I love how you've made the basic grid so interesting to look at. There's a lot going on but it's still restful on the eye. Fabby!
I'm with you on having a hard time getting the Sew Easy to go straight! I really love your design here! The colors are great and I love your clean, graphic style.
this turned out sooo cute! the design is fabulous! and all your stitching looks great!! love how you did that circle punch- very clever! love the papers you used and that ribbon goes perfectly with them! skip was such a sweet dog- kind of reminds me of sophie! definitely a fave!
Wow, this is wonderful! I love how the circle pattern is in the right place over the three squares! Your stitching is beautiful. I've not used the Sew Easy, but saw it demo'ed at our local craft store. I think your lines are straight, but she used a ruler as a guide to keep her lines straight. Such a fun LO! ~ Blessings

Journaling reads: "Skip was Jerry's mom and dad's bird dog. He was such a sweet dog and so gentle with the kids. When Joshua was little he started calling Jerry's daddy “Papa Skip” (I guess because of the dog). Pictured here (L to R) are Jerry, Joshua, Betty, Janet, Benjamin, Sarah, Gail, Skip and Adam. ~Circa 1996~"
I have had my Sew Easy for a couple of months and been playing with it. I found that I definitely needed the mat that goes with it and that it works much better if I'm only working with a single thickness of paper. It is so much quicker for making the stitching holes. I still need to work on getting it to "go straight" LOL! The binding edge and "circles" were punched (EK Success - I think). I did the circles by sending the paper through the punch from both directions. All stitching was done by hand. The shaped piece in the bottom corner was cut on the Cuttlebug. Then I added some ribbon, staples, buttons, stamping and a ribbon slide. The letters are chipboard. The stamp is by Fiskars. The back circle of pp is handcut, the middle is torn and the top is cut with small postage stamp scissors. The dragonfly is a brad. Everything is inked in brown. The design is based on a PageMaps sketch. Thanks so much for looking!!!
