Great baseball page..love the baseball stitching. Love your take on the sketch. Here's hoping your Mariners and my As can get out of the cellar and stay out..soon. I KNOW they're both better than that. (I'm a Giants fan but the As are our local team and since they're in different leagues I root for them too).
Nice job on the revision. Adding the journaling over the old title is a nice touch and I love the baseball stitched lines and the cool misting with the cardboard stars.
Awesome......... love the stitching, what a cute idea, and the misting and inking, look great. And adding a S to the Compass what a cool idea. We are Mariner fans as well. This is inspirational.
Finally had the chance to revise and repair this LO - thank you again to all those who helped me with suggestions and ideas! I love that I'm not alone and can always turn to the sb.com crowd for help when I'm struggling! Hugs to all! This is an example I did for the July Color and Subject Challenges that I'm hosting. I know they don't count, but I couldn't resist! This is also for the Page Maps #30, week 2. I've actually had this LO nearly done for almost 2 weeks, but struggled with a bad title location and then was too ticked at myself to fix it yet! After all the great advice (and a little shopping trip to M's) I finally had the motivation I needed to fix it! This is a photo of my DH at a baseball game. I am a Seattle Mariners fan and he is by default. We try to go to games when they are in LA playing the Angels and, of course, we always wear our M's jerseys. This game in particular we noticed that we really stood out against the sea of red! My DH can get a little nasty when (if) the M's are winning so luckily standing out was a good thing that night!
I misted and inked the white bg paper (was dying to try this technique) and by including the compass, found that it was very close to the Mariners logo! I stitched the baseball stitch on both sides and added a piece of regular notebook paper (inked) to cover the old title and use as journal. I also found a paper at M's that had baseballs all over it so I used that to help cover the old words. I also used my Cricut to cut star templates and then traced them onto the corrugated paper. TFL - and again, thank you to: Charcats7, NCYankee, Anna C, jjfer, littlemissimelda, AllAmy, Tena E, Lcmemories and Leokc34 for all your ideas and thoughts!!!
