March 30, 2011 we spent last night with Bill's friend, Vic Artega, at his home in Fremont then drove to San Francisco this morning. My scrapbook friend, Kara Campbell lives in San Francisco and recommended that I go to Scrapbook Territory in Berkeley. AWESOME! I bought papers and a few odds & ends and then Bill took me to meet Kara for lunch in the Mission District of San Francisco. She and I walked to a deli near her office and I had a delicious roast beef sandwich and a peanut butter cookie.
After Kara went back to work Bill took me to see Lombard street – the crookedest street in the world. I knew my photos wouldn't do it justice, that would require an aerial view so he bought me a post card. My photos were from the top looking down, the post card is from the bottom looking up. Then a little time exploring Fisherman's wharf. All to soon it was getting dark and time to drive to Travis AFB. Tomorrow morning we hope to catch a flight to Hawaii!
