Vintage Romance???? Ugh Cheesy name for a layout....I know. I am so painfully bad at layout names and right now this is not my concern.

See, I have a problem that many of you have also encountered or would encounter if YOU were in my position.

I love Dusty Attic chippies. In honor of Dusty Attic's 2nd birthday celebration (July 2011), they are having a challenge fest! They keep putting up challenges, and I keep obsessing and doing them. This particular challenge was all monochrome - with a hint of metallic if needed.

Not usually a bad thing -EXCEPT we are going on vacation in a day. I have not packed. I have not taken care of arrangements for my pets (thank heaven that Escape Kitty is away in a distant land mooching off Maggi43's credit card and I don't have to worry about her- reference to my Escape Kitty Adventures. sorry about throwing that in the conversation, but it shows how scattered my thoughts are right now.)

Now BE HONEST!!!! Show of hands around the world of all you scrappers that would absolutely be doing the same thing....scrapping instead of packing. Don't be bashful - get those hands up. I need some support right now. ahhhhhh great. Thought so! I see hands going up all around the globe.

I am glad all my sisters in scrapping understand. Now to get our husbands, families and friends to understand. sigh!

And to the Dear Friends at Dusty Attic - STOP! posting challenges!!!! PLease I beg you. I am plumb out of time.....I have to pack because if my husband packs foor me, he will leave all my shoes home. egads! What's a woman without shoes?

I also used a few pieces from a very old book...my SIL dropped off some books to me that were being thrown away. No one wanted them. This one was from 1895. Yep that's right. I thought it would be really cool to use on a page except the paper is so very brittle that pieces are all I could glue with crumbling.

The lace doily is from a yard sale - it was gorgeous and I almost hated gluing it down, but made the sacrifice.

Thanks for looking and HAPPY Birthday Dusty Attic.
