Don't be too serious - you deserve to have fun! No one reminisces about the wonderful hours they spend studying; but, years later, you'll remember (and laugh about!) the moments you enjoyed.

Keep a journal. Write down your wishes, thoughts, dreams. See how they change as you grow. See which ones come true.

Be gentle with other people's feelings. Combine honesty with thoughtfulness. Try not to break hearts.

Admit mistakes - really, it's okay to make a mess of things sometimes. Just learn from the mistakes you make. This way, you won't repeat them.

Shakespeare said it better than I could:
This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
