Not the best photo of this page, but I had a ton of fun doing this page! It's a photo we took on the beach - our constant hangout the whole summer before we got married. The tent is actually an alcove my parents found for us at Eddie Bauer - it's the best thing! It's open on the front with material that covers the sand. You can sit in there when the sun's too hot or lay out and get some sun. Every time I see this photo, I get so relaxed! The flourish circle says 'Palm Trees, Ocean breeze, Salty air, sun-kissed hair, Endless summer, take me there'.
This is my example for my August Subject Challenge: Making Waves.
Just about everything here is from my July Storyteller's club kit, including the metal brooch. I tore random strips from two of the cardstock papers to make them look like waves. I used 'wave' scissors to cut the border for the photo and fussy cut the blue border off the flourish wording and title strip. I also fussy cut out a second set of palm trees from another page to make them pop a little. I stickled the waves to make them look like the sun is hitting them. Finally, in honor of this being Shark Week, I added a shark fin... but it looks more like a dolphin fin now... LOL
TFL!
