LOVE! The waves, light house and sun are fabulous, love the rays on the sun, and the little sailboat is cute too! Great pictures of course and I love the quote.
Awesome!!!!!!!! Wowza!!!!!! I love your amazing page! (I would have loved to have seen all of the different layouts created!) I think your photos are wonderful, too!
I just love your creative cute little scene you have here.....I'm always in awe with what you do with paper piecing. I especially love the sand on this one. a BIG fave!!!!!
This was such a great idea! It turned out sooo cute! I had so much fun doing this page- definitely out of my box, but I really like how they turned out! I love all your doodling and chalking! And the title and quote are perfect! Definitely a fave!
Awesome! I love every bit of your layout! Your photos are fantastic (love the feet, funny and i can nearly feel the sand under my feet looking at this photo), the sailboat is beautiful too, and the sun warms up your page so nicely.
The pics are of me and my dd, Sarah, on our recent road trip along the Florida coastline. These were taken at Navarre Beach. The layout design is based on an old applique pattern that I used years ago on some kids clothing. I created this layout for a class on paper piecing at our local crop meeting. Sarah also did a page using the kit that I created, showing how to make the page a bit different. One lady at the crop had twilight pics at the beach, so she used a black bg and put a moon in the sky - very pretty. Anyway... I used the Cuttlebug and a Fiskars template to create the "waves", then highlighted them with a Signo. The "sand" is torn, with brown chalking for highlights. Then I added some punched "grass" - done with a sun punch (cut in halves) and detailed it with a pen, and also some tiny punched crabs, also detailed with a pen. The pieces of the lighthouse, gulls and sailboat are hand cut and inked with black or yellow, then detailed with pens. The sun is punched and then rays added with a pen (should have cleaned the edge of my ruler before starting - Ugh). The lettering for the title was cut with QuicKutz templates on the Cuttlebug. Thanks so much for looking!
