Pier 39 is definitely where the action is on Fisherman's Wharf. After strolling through some of the little shops we spotted the Dryer's Ice Cream store but we were good little girls and boys. We ate lunch first.
We split a fried fisherman's platter at Hook & Cook and then went right back to Dryer's. Bill's treat was a cup of chocolate chip mint ice cream; mine was a cone filled with black cherry ice cream.
While we were eating our ice cream we walked to the side of the pier where the sea lions hang out. What little show-offs they are (when they aren't sunning and sleeping).
As we walked out we passed a display for the aquarium which included an actual-sized model of a prehistoric shark jaw. I told Bill to stand behind it – I never like to miss a photo opportunity!
