Fran I just love layouts with a story and this is fabulous. It shows the value in scrapping when you document your journeys. Precious memories beautifully scrapped.
Hi, Fran! Abba fan here! Love your page and the sentiment behind! It is great to have friends to share the ups and down of life. Bonnie will love this page! Love how you used the pearls!
What a wonderful friendship you have with Bonnie and she is going to love this layout! When my son was 6 he went through an ABBA phase-he was in love with them and their knock off band the A-teens, so I definitely know that song-lol!
I love ABBA! :) All of the symbolism in your layout is beautiful, and so is the picture of you and your friend. Love the title...love the enduring friendship.
That's what friends are for!!! Oh,,,,, that's a song too! LOL Seriously Fran, this is such a touching lo!!!!! I LOVE that song too! You captured the 70's feel perfectly!!!! Bonnie is going to love it!!!!
I often feel the waterworks when I hear this song too....beautiful page you made for your friend Fran! Love the addition of the music notes to embellish the page! xx
I grew up on ABBA and remember this beautiful song...wonderful Lo commemorating a special friendship.Love the symbolism you've captured here and the many lovely details!
Fun, encouraging, and inspriational! It's always good to have a shoulder or two to cry on and to remember that "the sun is still in the sky and shining above you," even when times seem so dark. I like the image of ABBA, the way you created your title, the symbolism of the broken feather and the sunshine, and the music notes, as well as the happy, warm photo. Very pretty indeed!
This LO was created for my friend Bonnie. She went through a very rough time during the 90s, as I did during the 70s. Abba's song, Chiquitita, describes our feelings during those times, perfectly. Neither of us can sing this song without crying. Bonnie was my "shoulder to cry on". Years later, I did the same for her. As the song says, "the sun is still in the sky and shining above". The "broken feather" in the song is represented in the LO as well. I tried to capture the flare & fun of the 70s era. The words to the song are attached to the sun, with a personal journaling story hidden on the back of the song. Sorry, it is too personal for sb.com Thanks to all who leave a comment or vote for me. Your support is very much appreciated. TFL
