This isn't a great picture...... As a child my grandmother always wore a mustard seed in a little pendant. I would always ask her "What is that Grama?" and her answer was always the same "Its just a little reminder" On one of his deployments to Iraq things were really tough and I desperately needed a little reminder!!! I made a little pin that looked like my hubby and put a mustard seed in it so I could have him with me all the time as a little reminder!! The first mustard seed pins were made from clay but they took forever to make and I couldn't keep up with the orders so I started making them from wood. The wood is laser etched, cut, hand painted and embellished with either a red/white/blue ribbon or a yellow ribbon. The Service Members name is etched on the name tape as well as the Servicew Branch or the word HERO. The Mustard Seed is in the cover where the rank insignia/service emblem usually goes. They are 2.5" tall. I also make females but can't seem to locate the pictures....sorry Ladies I will keep looking!!! Tfl!!!
