Great, awesome, fabulous LO!!!! there is nothing more precious than photos of our heritage scrapped and ready for the next generation to learn from! =)
These are my husband's grandparents circa 1925 when they were in their 20s. The papers are from the August ugly paper challenge- I made flowers and some of the title letters from the black Halloween paper and the flowery paper iis my background paper.I made the dangling charm for the weekly AGC challenge. I tore and inked the paper to distress it. I also tucked in crumpled, inked doilies. I doodled a gold line around the border. Journaling is writtn on strips and tucked into the little black box to the left of my husband's gransmother. I used a black chipboard piece and black flourish stickers to top this off.
The journaling strips are bits and pices of info about Bill and Lena. Bill was a meatcutter and a major league umpire for the Cincinnati Reds. Lena started smoking when she was 4 years old - she smoked leaves from the tobacco trees. Yet she wasn't allowed to wear lipstick, even after she was in her twenties. When she was pregnant with my father-in-law, she loved to eat sauerkraut out of the jar which embarrassed her daughters.
