MOST amazing 0and you are gorgeous. This looks like you had fun. Love how you dabbed the brick stamp all about here and there. Your Kaisercraft lamp is amazing. FAV
Stunning!!! & where to start? I guess with that stamp that you've just convinced me I need, then to your fantastic misting and layering... But most of all, I so love the way you framed your photo with stitching and swirlys and that magnificent lamppost!!!!!
I love this photo of you, very Hollywood Glam! Love the background paper(it's in my stash). I'm always collecting little charms, thanks for the idea for how to attach them!
I've been stalking Once Upon a Sketch for sometime now wanting to play but time constraints would get in the way… until recently. When I saw this month's bi-monthly sketch and the possibilities that such a sketch could render, I decided to make time to play! If you love your monthly kit club as much as I do, but want to venture out and play with no restrictions with the exception of some journaling that is required on a Once Upon a Sketch challenge, this is a great place to use your personal stash, monthly kit club stash and personalize your l/o's with journaling. August's bi-monthly sketch was to journal a song which I thought would be easy peasy…NOT. There are too many songs that I like, so I narrowed it down to the year this pic was taken, and found a song I liked during that time. I chose “I've Never Been to Me” by Charlene in 1982. To me, the song was about a woman who realized by looking back at her youth, she lived a colorful and superficial life and had come to grasp that her present loneliness was caused by personal choices she had made while living in paradise as a young woman, and she saw an opportunity to help prevent another young woman from living the same lonely life. I loved the Creative Imagination's paper line Iron Orchid Designs and have been hoarding it waiting for the perfect opportunity to use it. It reminded me of Puccini's Madame Butterfly of a young woman who was all alone left with her memories of an unrequited love and the great loss of her child. So the song and the paper kind of went together. And, of course, I had to use my new Prima brick stamp, and then I could not just leave the background paper untouched, so I added some Glimmer Mist and Starbust Spray on it too. I think I'm hooked on Once Upon a Sketch and will be playing there more often. Hope to see you there too, please check it out at: http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com/
A portion of the lyrics read: "please lady, please lady, don't just walk away cause I have this need to tell you why I'm all alone today. I can see so much of me still living in your eyes, won't you share a part or a weary heart that has lived a million lies...."
