8-10-11...A dump truck with bad brakes caused a nearby wheat field to catch on fire...this made me more than a little nervous 'cause the only thing between the fire and me is a strip of paved road and a dry hayfield. Consequently, THE HEAT IS ON the local fire department to get the fire out before it gets too far out of control. Thankfully, they did a good job of containing it quickly...12 acres of wheat was lost but it didn't jump the road. [P8106903]
