Beautiful LO and photo. The look on your son's face is precious. I love how you used the rubons over the paint. As for the paper curling, I just wait til the paint dries, then put a heavy book on the LO for a few days. It doesn't alleviate all of it, but it helps.
This turned out beautifully! I've struggled with the paper curling with paint as well as mists...I've found that with paint, thin layers with drying in between, helps. As well as using thicker pp or cs. Hope that helps. Again, this turned out just great!! TFS
very cool LO ... love the rub-ons over the glitter over the paint ... the overall effect is fab (and a heat gun can help de-curl the edges of your paper instead of letting it just dry naturally)
love it! you did a wonderful job on the lift. I also did mine as a lift and it was way out of my comfort zone. I love the rub ons because it looks like you painted them. this is a perfect lo! love it!!!
This is a photo of me and my son on Mother's Day 2009, My first mother's day. Did this for a couple challenges:
1) August Lyrics challange: Madonna, I chose her song Crazy for You 2) August Scraplift the person before you: I had the pleasure of lifting Mommaprov's LO "Uniquely You" you can find her original here: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/530287/view/3299097/-1/1.html
This LO was a little out of my comfort zone, but I like how it turned out in the end. It actually has a few layers on it. First I painted with some acrylic paint and let that dry. Then I added some glitter glue brushed in the same motions as the paint, although you can hardly see in this photo (sorry, this was the best photo I can get at the moment). Lastly, I added some rub-ons.
Also, I noticed after the paint had dried, my paper started to curl a bit. This is my first time trying paint on LO's so are there any tips to prevent that? I would appreciate it.
