Great idea! Try using colors other than white for part of the samples . . . the embossing powders look different on different colors of paper!! I have used "Trading Card" page protectors in a notebook, but I like your idea better!!

This is a fantastic idea! The colors of unused embossing powder in the jars are not always a good representation of what they look like after they've been melted. This is such a handy thing to have available and I may use my embossing powder more if I make one of these! Cheers, Amber
I cut tags with a die, used clear embossing ink on the lower part of the tag then dipped into each of my embossing powders. Melt embossing powder, label the tag and add to a ring for easy reference. Now you can easily see what colours you have and match your swatch with your project!
