A layout for me, and for each of the kids' books and each of the grandkids' books. My mother, on the right. Journaling: This picture of Mom, Ann Miiller and Frances Engle is so representative of when we were growing up. Ann and Walt, Ben and Frances, and Mom and Dad were so close. The three families were at one another's houses a lot. I loved going to see both couples because they lived on farms and I LOVED farms. Walt and Ann's son, Phil, was a year younger than me, and Ben & Frances' son Benny was my age This picture was taken at Pinewood Bowl in Lincoln in 1947 -- and I was there, but had yet to make my appearance. Mom is five months pregnant in this photo and Frances had just found out Benny was on the way.
