While the calendar year provides us with a steady stream of holidays and events for which to make cards, I'm a fan of celebrating some of those special annual days that don't quite make their way onto the list of statutory holidays, too.

Case in point, Grandparent's Day (which fell, most recently, on September 11, 2011). This year the card above in the one I created for my maternal grandma (who, adorably, has always gone by the name Grannie, spelled with an “ie” ending) for this delightful day of celebrating the gift, and importance, of our grandparents.
