Halloween is such a fun holiday and I love everything about it. The cool weather, the changing leaves, the colors, the pumpkins and of course the costumes. I really look forward to it every year! This year, my job decided to spring a little fun surprise on us at the last minute; they said anyone who wanted could wear a costume to work on Halloween! I was elated and horrified at the same time. On one hand, who wouldn’t be excited about working while wearing a costume, right? But on the other, what could I find to wear on such short notice? I know, I can be a Witch! Na, everyone has been a witch before. How about a Vampiress? Better originality, but I can’t be scaring any customers. I got it, Red Riding Hood! Now if only I can get a co-worker to dress as the Wolf I’m in business. My mind was whirling with possibilities as I opened my closet door to get ready to head out and there it was…my costume was right in front of me! I was going to go as Troy Polamaluboo! For those who may not know I actually mean Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers, I just thought my character name sounded better. I have an amazingly cute pink Steelers jersey with Troy’s #43 on it so all I needed to add were some black stretch pants, long striped socks and black makeup under my eyes. In an instant I was prepared not only for work but also to head straight out trick-or-treating afterwards AND to intercept a Joe Flacco pass (you have to hate the Baltimore Ravens if you are dressing like a Steeler). Now if only that Troy Polamalu wig would’ve fit in the car….that man has some BIG hair!
