Journaling: In March of ’06, Aunt Lisa & Uncle Oleg went on a vacation to Puerto Rico that Oleg won in a sales contest through his employer! While they were off relaxing, Zach stayed with Mimi & Papa for nearly a week. We hung out with them quite a bit during that time. One day Mimi & I took you guys to the DuPage Children’s Museum in Naperville. What a cool place for kids. There are SO many different activities that we could stay busy there for at least an entire day. Besides all of the things to climb on, they have water play, wind tunnels, lots of tables with smaller activities, giant lite–brites, a giant construction center, and the list goes on.
We took you there in 2005 also, but you were too little to do much so you played in the tiny tots area while Zach ran around. Not this year, you were unstoppable & wanted to try everything.
Your favorite was the arts & craft center where you made a collage of paper, ribbon, puzzle pieces, markers, paints, glue, tissue paper, etc. Zach didn’t want to step foot in that room because it meant sitting still. So, while you & I hung out there, Mimi took him to the water play area. Some kid dumped a whole bucket of water down his back. Needless to say, that cut our day a little shorter than originally planned. But, all in all, you guys had a blast. We followed up the outing with a trip to McDonalds and a good, long, much-needed nap!
