Imagine this: beautiful borders and truly impressive designs. It’s easy with Ink-its Letterpress Plates! They create artful ink-debossed impressions that transform cardmaking with beautiful borders and awesome accents!
Cut watercolor paper to size to form a card base. Apply clear watermark ink to the Damask letterpress plate. Apply green pigment ink to the same letterpress plate, carefully place the watercolor paper on top of the plate and deboss using your Big Shot, BIGkick or Vagabond machine. Remove the debossed paper and set aside to dry. Apply clear watermark ink to the Flower Vine letterpress plate. Apply orange, red and green pigment inks to the same letterpress plate, carefully place watercolor paper on top of the plate and deboss using your Big Shot, BIGkick or Vagabond machine. Remove the debossed paper and let dry. Once dry, trim to size and mat on dark green cardstock. Attach to the card front. Stamp a sentiment onto white cardstock, trim to size and attach to the matted cardstock. If desired, embellish with stitching. Wrap a ribbon around the card front and tie in a bow. Adhere to the card front
If using regular cardstock with the Ink-its letterpress plate and not getting the impression you desire, place a thin piece of craft foam between the top cutting pad and your paper. Use pigment ink layered over clear watermark ink and medium weight (or heavier) watercolor paper - 100 lbs or more - for best results.
