Although I am not familiar with how things were back in the those days, my Mami Santa (Gramma) tells me stories all the time, and I wish more, and more I was part of those times, and not these...thanks for sharing such a beautiful heirloom layout...God Bless.
First I want to say how much your dd, Karen reminds me of your mother in this picture of your mom holding you! I love the vintage Detroit, MI pennant and all the great research and facts you have here. Boy wouldn't it be nice to buy a loaf of bread for 8 cents, but then our wages would be low too. I wouldn't care, those were the good old days!
The authentic pieces really add to this page...how cool that you had them to use. The is a stunning page one of an outstanding two page layout. You ROCK!
This is for a challenge in the Rockin' Scrapin' Grans group. A two page lo depicting what happened the year we were born. I have a vintage Detroit, MI pennant and a photo of My Mother and me in April, 1939 when I was born. I have an authentic vintage sticker from the 1939 World's Fair in Sand Francisco. All of the facts are things that happened, or how things were in 1939!!!!!
