Oh wow how gorgeous is the bird house ,have never seen anything like it. I don't have purple martins ,but it would look good.Love the beautiful way you've scrapped it, letting the photo say it all.
Great layout...beautiful and... beautiful!! Love the details and the story. I'm sitting here with my sister and after I read this I blurted out..let's go take pics out in the country (lots of back roads around here). thanks for the inspiration!

This was a photo I recently took on a trip to North Carolina to visit Maggi43 and a few other scrappy friends. Gosh, life doesn't get much better than scrapping with people you have admired on the internet.....while eating chocolates, sipping wine or coffee depending on the time of day, having gourmet meals cooked for you and then being driven around for cool sites to photograph.
Maggi43 cooked up a delicious storm while we were there. So thanks to Maggi for all her work.
Now about this photo because I am dying to tell you about it. Maggi's husband kindly agreed to take the 5 of us crazy ladies out on a back roads country photo expedition. To be honest - it's all back roads country where she lives but amazing in it's beauty. The poor sweet man! His nerves a wreck because each time we saw something cool and interesting to photo, we'd scream or screech depending on your point of view.
He got so jumpy that each time we made a peep, he'd pull the truck over and bail out. This was one of those times. Look at that bird house. I've never seen anything so big.....(would make Escape Kitty grin with delight). It's a Purple Martin house and boy they must be big birds. The Martins eat tons of mosquitos - mosquitos eating machines I guess.
Special thanks to Sarah - Chanton13 for her amazing butterfly sent to me in the bug swap. She made this delightful piece.
Also special thanks to Mandy for her always gorgeous stick pins which have become my favorite art of the add-ons.
Created using the Scraps of Darkness Oct Kit - All Hallows Eve. What a spooktacular kit packed with goodies. You'll find this kit to be versatile and adaptable to any style of scrapping from spooky and grungy to feminine and fun. Check us out and you'll see how! It all works.
