Thanks for all your suggestions! It was a big help. I tried EVERYTHING and mixed and matched ideas, and this is what I finally came up with. I didn't think I wanted to mat the 2 pics because I wanted the big pic to be the focus and thought that might draw attention away, from it. But once I tried it, I liked it so much better. I tried a bigger snowflake below the pics, but it was a little too overwhelming for the pics, so I used a smaller one with the heart on top instead. Thanks SO much for the suggestion to draw attention to the journaling!!! I think the "B" does this well and makes a huge difference! The journaling looks like it fits in with the rest of the page now. Hope you like it.
IRL the main picture doesn't look so dark, and the colors are more pale blue than the turquoisish color here. Oh well.
Journaling reads: Britain you were so excited for the 1st snow of the year! However, our original plan to build a snowman was soon forgotten, for a couple of reasons. One, the snow was very dry and hard to pack. And two, when I handed you a small snowball and tried showing you how to roll it, you simply lost interest! You found it much more fun to throw the snowball in the air, watch it land, quickly race to retrieve it, then toss it again.
