this is just too cool! Gotta luv our service men & women and thankful to ALL their sacrifices, and those of their families too! My SIL is Army, did 2 tours and is home now for awhile. My dd is going to scrap his Army carreer album, so I have to email this to her. She's gonna love this. Great LO!
Wow Karen this is just outstanding!!!! I love the inking on this paper! It looks fabulous against the red white and blue! So glad your niece will be home soon.
What a beautiful LO! I love everything you did! That clock is just so awesome with the red white and blue behind it! So excited for you and her to be coming home!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING WORK!!! I would be hard pressed to fine a LO any more PERFECT for this picture. You've done a BEAUTIFUL JOB. Also....sending a BIG THANK YOU to your niece for her SERVICE to our COUNTRY!!! So happy for your entire family that she's coming home soon!!!
Awwwww! Such a heartwarming page, Karen! I love the photo and how you scrapped it! Thanks so much for sharing this lovely page and your niece's story with us. God bless her and all of our soldiers!
Stunning Lo and such a tribute to your niece and all those brave soldiers serving the USA with dignity and grace. That photo makes me teary. Here's why. The soldiers in the photo are muted by they're uniform into an "Army of One" (no disrespect to the branch of service they are in - I am a civilian and cannot tell). In the soldiers way of thinking, they are not the important ones - the country is and oh how the American flag pops here! This photo so perfectly illustrates how much they love their country and really make the US shine. Meanwhile we all know - or we should all realize- that each one of those brave individuals is special, loved and appreciated. Your scrapping is superb, a FAV for me and stunning. Your niece will love this. Many blessings to all those fine Americans in that photo. Hey Karen, your Dusty Attic clock also rocks the house.
so so glad your niece has ended her t.o.g and she will soon be home again...very very appealing creation and a wonderful memorable page to treasure luv the d/a ornate clock and the awesome apt papers
Karen, I think this is one of my fav layouts from you! Amazing details and incredible tribute to your niece! I love how you treated the DA clock! I'm so happy for you and your family that she's finally coming home. Please thank her for me for her service, you must be so darn proud of her!
What a wonderful lo for our Men and Women in service. In August our family went to Camp LeJune to see our gdd dad come home from Afghanaistan!! It was so moving! everyone should go and experience it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Everyone, I'm taking a break from Halloween to do a layout for my niece in Afghanistan. This is a photo of her (in the middle holding the flag), and her crew after their LAST MISSION!! She's done with her big gun (thank God) and will be home next month!!! I used the beautiful Bo Bunny Liberty Collection. I added some script to the Dusty Attic Skelton Clock Face to go with the script on the Constitution paper in the bg. TFL!!!
