In the summer, my BFF Sandra treated me to the Musical "Wicked"...and wow, it was an amazing experience! I regret not buying a program, though, so I could have cut out the pictures from it ....the photos on here of Glinda and Elphaba (Wicked Witch, but not really) are downloaded from the internet and are poor resolution. Hopefully I'll replace them. The centre photo is of Sandra and me posing with a Wicked poster before the show began.

This fabulous play inspired me to create this 2-pager, which I taught at my lss this month. Lots of Tim Holtz dies and my Big Shot helped with this scene...and I used the gear border along the top because the sets of Wicked are Steampunk! yay! The fussy cutting (characters, title banner, Glinda, poppies) almost drove me around the bend, but I toughed it out...and then took a nap.. ha ha! I designed my own yellow brick road (hmmm...I like the sound of that) using a TH brick embossing folder, Distress ink Brushed Corduroy and some yellow stickles.

On my blog I included lots of close ups and detailed descriptions of the techniques www.kellycreates.blogspot.com (posted Oct. 24 2011).

Thanks so much for stopping by with your comments....wishing you a magical day :)
