A week before Easter, we enjoyed a “Family Saturday.” This sounds mundane but is unusual for us with work, chores, errands, and other life commitments in general. We started the day at a pancake breakfast with the Easter bunny, of whom you were seriously afraid. Although our original intentions were to follow the meal with an Easter egg hunt at Phillips Park, it was so cold and crowded that we just decided to enjoy the playground instead. It never ceases to amaze me how much you love to swing. Back and forth for what seems like an eternity, reminding us to keep pushing, just smiling and hollering “wheeee!” It always sends me right back to childhood, where everything was an adventure. Kicking my feet high into the air, hoping to touch a cloud. I hope you always embrace your adventurous side and keep reaching for the sky. April 8th, 2006.
