"You Are Beautiful" Card, using Tim Holtz

I love anything Tim Holtz, so I tried one of his techniques recently and just loved how it turned out. I took cream cardstock for the front of my card, misted it with water using his mini misters, then wrinkled it up well then set it aside. Then I went to his craft matt, and used his Tumbled Glass & Vintage Photo distress inks by squishing them onto the mat several times (not touching so that you ruin your ink pads of course). I then misted the ink on the mat until it made little puddles of water. I then rubbed my wrinkled cardstock into the puddles. I lifted up and repeated and moved it around until I had the subtle look I wanted. I let it dry completely, then used my Tim Holtz stamps, some other stamps, S.Up bird punch, inked all edges with Vintage Photo ink, and added some ribbon. I also used a graph-looking stamp near the birds chest to add some more distressing, then stamped the T.Holtz stamp stamp with Tumbled glass ink, cut it out, then pop dotted this stamp and the bird. The muted colors of this technique that you can do with these distress inks is just really beautiful and fun. I made 10 of these cards for a card swap at a recent crop and every single one of them turned out differently, which I thought was kinda cool.
