1 of 24 birdhouses that my mom and I spray painted and then decorated for my cousin's baby shower. (This picture does not do it justice!) The baby's nursery and bedding has cute little birds on it and the colors are light pink, pink, white, and chocolate brown. We thought that these would serve as decorations for the baby shower, but she could put them in the baby's room. A double whammie!

Because they would be going into the baby's room we wanted them to be cute, but also simple. We didn't want to go completely over the top on them.

For this particular one I spray painted the birdhouse white (it needed numerous coats!). Once it was dry I took pink acrylic paint and emphasized the beams on the top and the bottom edges. Then I took this adorable bird paper I found at Michaels and put it on 3 of the 6 sides of the birdhouse (every other one) leaving a plain side in between. At the end I used clear glittery stickle on the now pink beams on the top of the birdhouse.

*I know this picture isn't great. The lighting is terrible. I had to use my cell phone camera because there's something wrong with my camera. :o( *
