This is an old picture of my husband's Great Great Grandparents taken around 1900. I am adding it to the heritage album I am working on for my children. This photo was in a history of Shelby County book that was published a couple of years ago. There is some embossing around frame of the tree which doesn't show up in the pic. Florence Effie Ballard was the first librarian at Shelby County's Carnegie library which still exists. I think looks like the perfect librarian and my husband does not think she ever married.
