this is a tribute to my aunt who is suffering from progressive aphasia
text reads:
My Superhero tore a hole in her cape.
At first I didn’t think much of it,
you know,
just a tiny tear in that
superstrong,
lightweight,
satiny fabric.
She could heal it with a blink of her eye,
or wave her hand over it and
WhaLa!
it would be good as new!
I was wrong.
The cape didn’t mend . . .
It tore more
She lost the ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound
Her feats of strength began to wane
Her x-ray vision began to fade
But her spirit still soared
She can still tell the “good guy” from the “bad guy”
She can still give bone crushing hugs
and she still has the matching Tights!
What do Superhero’s become
in their next life?
