I saw this on your blog and it is so beautifully done! Love and pride OOZES from every page. Liz is a gorgeous, smart, upstanding woman and you have every right to crow about her accomplishments. But I have to say, the thing I like BEST about this mini is that FANTASTIC candid photo you took at graduation! Kudos on that shot, Mom! xoxox
Absolutely GORGEOUS Patty!!!!!! What a great photo of her with that pretty happy smile! It's obvious how much care & love you put into this beautiful work of art!!! And what emotion in your description..... brought a tear to my eye!
Wow. Patty, this is such a profoundly beautiful tribute to Elizabeth and is obviously crafted with incredible love and emotion. How poignant and true your journalling above is...proof how the human spirit can rise above and manage the most difficult circumstances. Bravo...FAVE!!!
it's a gorgeous page with heartfelft sentiments. We all need to evaluate the true importance of life at times while continuing down that very path. this is beyond stunnig. Yes, even Kitty's can be deep thinkers though it's rare.
Wow!!! This is not only a beautiful piece of art but a moving piece as well, preserving history, expressing yourself honestly and sincerly! This is absolutely beautiful! xx

This is a MINI ALBUM that was done as a design team project for THE CRAFTY SCRAPPER in Waxahachie, Texas. It is on display in the store.
Where has the time gone in the past ten years? So many serious, life changing events have come our way since the terrible tragedies of September 11, 2011. Our country and the world hardly seem to be the same, and I guess everyone on this planet who was more than eight years old on that day can remember where they were and what they were doing when the horrific events unfolded. I was teaching a class of second graders in Arlington, Texas and the words from Alan Jackson's song will ever reverberate in my mind, “Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day? Teaching a class full of innocent children…” Within only three days after September 11, 2001, my sweet daughter was crowned Homecoming Queen of her high school. It seems a very insignificant event compared to the thousands of lives lost or forever changed. Students, teachers and parents were still reeling from the horror of that day, yet somehow, life had to go on. So, that sweet girl held her head high and helped everyone at Maverick Stadium remember that LIFE DOES GO ON. The culmination of Elizabeth's senior year in high school is the subject of this sweet mini album. Although I have done larger album pages to chronicle the highlights of her high school days, this 6”X6” mini album is by far, my favorite scrapbooking project that I have created to honor her achievements. My baby girl is now twenty-seven and is a college graduate living on her own with the responsibilities of an adult woman. I still scrapbook her everyday experiences and important events, and always will, but until she marries and has children of her own, there will not be a subject as near and dear to my heart as the honors Liz achieved in high school. It was a difficult time in all of our lives, but LIFE STILL GOES ON…..AND HOW SWEET IT IS!
Please check out my blog for tons of pictures and a complete list of supplies. Thanks, everyone for your comments! http://asassyscrapper.blogspot.com/2011/11/how-sweet-it-is.html
