Oh my goodness Renea! I love how you altered that photo! I know how hard it is to scrap about those times in our lives that we would rather forget....but What you have done is wonderful.
I just wanted to tell you that this is an awesome layout and having read your comments it makes it all the more so. We all have things in our past which affect us today and not all of them are good things. Very brave of you and inspirational for others.
Great work on the photo and Beautiful work of art! Despite the circumstances,, I love the person youve turned out to be and glad you are on the road to a brighter future! TFS xoxox
Such a remarkable yet very "haunting" presentation. Thru your art, we can see that you are a lovely and caring woman despite your deep wounds. You should take comfort in knowing that your past (however bad) has not stopped you from loving and being loved. TFS your story.
This is so immensely fantastic! Truly special LO, Renea, thank you for sharing some of your deeply personal story (which I can full relate to) and work of art with us.
This is so touching, Renea. Thanks for sharing your story. I think our "ghosts" are the most difficult to scrap. You are very brave to do this! God bless you, dear lady!
WOW!!! Super cool, AMAZING layout! I LOVE what you did to your photo ~ this layout perfectly captures the meaning behind it & it absolutely stunning!!!
I got goosebumps! I hope putting your feelings down into your art was helpful & therapeautic. This is haunting, emotional and beautiful all at the same time!
this is amazing, Renea-your photo is fascinating and definitely haunting...you've grown into a lovely person and I hope creating and sharing this was therapeutic for you;beautifully designed and detailed LO;TFS
well the way you edited your photo...sure is haunting...so very spooky!!! Think positive Renea...your upbringing has made you the strong, wonderful friend, mom and wife you have become. gorgeous job here! thanks for letting us in (even though the picture scares me a bit lol)
Wow Renea!! This is just GREAT! Wonderful job on the editing and THANK YOU so much for sharing with us. I have some of these pages that nobody has ever seen!! Thanks for allowing us to see.
I LOVE IT!!!!! When a layout tells a story, it makes it sooooo interesting, & this one does just that. It's like you know something about LIFE!!!! I love the way you did the photo...I just dont know how~
This page is....well....I guess the first word that comes to me is fascinating. Then when reading the description, the next word is deep. I know it was difficult for you to post, but also probably to make. But it must also be a good thing that you can be open about your difficult past. It's my prayer that you continue to heal, & move forward regardless of the scars. You're an inspiration! This page is wonderful, in particular, the photo you made. I love the papers you chose & the beautiful embellies. Very well thought out & beautiful design! ~Absolute FAVE!~
Haunting ghosts indeed, you did an amazing job Renea! We are so lucky that you had the courage to share as much as you have! Truly an original and an inspiration to me. Thanks, Corky
Your photo editing is AMAZING!!! Perhaps your courage to share your story will touch someone who has been similarly affected. Beautiful work, despite the difficult circumstances behind the layout.
Wow. Thought provoking. Having come from a dysfunctional family myself, can feel your pain. But would we be the person we are today had we not gone through it and survived? Hugs, Sue
A creative, gorgeous presentation. The pic certainly does depict exactly what you intended. Very innovative. (Disfunction is truly a common thread in most families... that does not make it easier to deal with. Hugs.)
Wow Renea, stunning!!! The photograph is amazing, what a remarkable presentation!! The LO is beautifully composed and "haunting", and I thank you for sharing this very personal page. I will have to agree with Plactorin about most families having some part of our past that is not so "nice", that is the nature of human nature. Anyway, this LO is a favorite for me!!!
O.K. I will just be honest with you, I did this layout for Twisted Sketches for last weeks Wednesday reveal, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to share it or not, because it was so very personal, but I finally wrestled with myself and decided to post it. Art is supposed to be personal, but it is not always easy to bare one's soul publicly, and that was the case here.
This was my last squeeze from my Scraps of Darkness October kit, and also my just for fun entry into Lisa's (aka Raining) always unique Skeletons In The Closet Challenge. The challenge was to scrap who you are when no one is looking, you had to use a recent photo and you got a bonus point for photo editing. My entry is titled Haunted, because when no one is looking, I will be forever haunted by my dysfunctional upbringing. I really don't want to go into a lot of personal detail, but to say my wounds go so deep that even time has left great scars is an understatement. I snapped a photo of myself, and then took photos of my biological family and me, Photoshopped them over my recent photo to give the illusion of ghosts and kind of a holographic effect as well.
Thanks for letting me share a piece of myself with you. ~Renea
