Give a Cheer
Another week, another sketch (Skissedilla #142) – and another layout. I decided to do something that I usually do not do: Overlays and layers (and foam tabs!). Also, this is my layout #300! Go me!
I started off with a blank 12×12 kraft cardstock and some Mister Huey Mist from Studio Calico. Then I added a layer of the new Calico shine before adhering the overlay. Over the overlay, I taped down a small selection of MT Washi tape before stapling the hearts in place and using some foam tabs to add a little 3D. Then I added almost all of the buttons from Studio Calico’s December kit: Brooklyn Flea. I used to dread buttons, but I’ve found that using all of them in one go – by dropping them onto the layout and gluing them down where they land, is excellent! I love the effect it gives!
