Give a Cheer
I truly have been blessed to have made friends with some very wonderful people on this fantastic website and there are a couple gals that have found a special place in my heart. I wanted to give them something to show how much they mean to me and how much I truly appreciate their friendship. The only way I thought to do that was to make a calendar -- mostly of pictures from the upper Midwest. One of these terrific friends use to live here in MN. These images are of the calendar I made for her. She's now living in North Carolina, so I thought I would send her a bit of place she use to call home.
What a better way to celebrate July's Independence Day than with an image of one of Iowa's beautiful covered bridges? This photo was taken in June 2001 when my husband and I took a long weekend with some friends down near Mason City Iowa. Ever since seeing the movie Bridges of Madison County, I was enthralled with seeing some of these great historic landmarks. I would love to take a road trip to see these. This bridge is named Rockford Bridge.
