I agree - they can keep the painted rebar, but I love the door and the courtyard idea. I just discovered you're not in MN now. I remember the fun "travelogue" photos from there, and am hoping for some of this new place!
love, love, love the gate/door - I want one - know exactly where I'd put it. :) Don't suppose you could just sneak it home and send it to me? LOL Love the metal sculptures.
I love the privacy, security, of Southwest looking metal and sun screen doors around here. This doesn't lead into the house but into the courtyard before the house. See the plants inside? I love that too. BUT...See the tall skinny things poking up along the wall? A metal Ocotillo cactus, just looks llike painted rebar to me (it is), see the brown cactus in the corner? Metal. If it were real it would be 30 feet high, see the two animals bottom right? Metal Javelinas. If they were real lthey would not be rusty and would be MUCH bigger. Only the green ones are real. (cactus not Javelinas) I admit they make a nice arrangement and if you are a snowbird you don't have to hire some one to water and watch over them when you are gone. but..........gimme real.
