This is such a beautiful page, and a beautiful baby girl :) I agree with Danielle that white shadow letters would look best, although I also thought about brushing some white paint on the paper behind the title, but then it would take away some of the "clean lines" of the page. Great work, though!
i think I agree with danielle. The rest of the layout has too clean a look to it to go with inking, unless you inked only the very edges. but i think that matting just goes along with the style of the rest of this sweet sweet layout.
Such a pretty page!! I love the weaving of the ribbon, the heart mini brads, rick rack, and large flower. If you want to emphasize the title more, I would use either pink ink or chalk on the title. You are going to want a very subtle effect. I don't know if the title is fixed or not, but if not, another option would be to cut the title out in another darker pink and layer it underneath the lighter color (creating a shadow effect). This is a gorgeous page, and I really love everything you have done here!
I would suggest finding an opalescent ink...just to give it a shimmer like the ribbon. You don't want it to really jump out.. another option....find a nice cursive font - or heidi rubons and write welcome on thebottom right corner. But if you do that remove the bottom right flower so it doesn't compete. It's quite lovely.
Do you have any pink ink, Andrea? THat would look awesome!! I wouldn't ink them with black. This is such a sweet sweet page! I really love the flowers and the heart brads... lovely work.
A lo of my dd. I wanted this for lo to be the first page in an album for her. I liked the simple, traditional look for this page, but I am not happy with 'welcome' - not sure whether I should ink it or what??? TIA - Andrea
