For Martica's awesome swap! This was difficult for me, I could not settle on a concept. And don't get me started on picking out fabric LOL! I chose a red and cream floral print fabric that reminded me of cherry blossoms. I eventually found the black and white floral fabric that didn't clash with the other fabric.
I then added a satin-like black ruffly trim to cover the seam where the two fabrics meet. Then I used venice lace to make it pop more. I also added a rhinestone strand (baaling) over the edge of the lace. I surrounded the edges with the same lace. It's so pretty!
The title of this notebook is "Heart and Soul." The Tim Holtz key says "heart."
