This is our d/s Lee with his kids, Andy and Cassie. All I could think of when I started this layout was, "You can't pick your family," thus the title! Couldn't resist a little tongue in cheek! TFL!

I created this with the dramatic and beautiful January Scraps of Darkness kit, "Escape." As with all of the SOD kits, this one has many moods and variations in theme that you can take in any direction you like. I was immediately attracted to these breathtaking shades of brown and gold, and the elegant botanical ATCs that are included in the kit!

The corrugated element was created from a tutorial by Renea Harrison aka Reneabouquets that I found on the Scraps of Darkness website. Thanks, Renea! I added the handmade flower to give it a final flourish!

I have also entered this in the Flying Unicorn "Flowers By You" challenge.
