this is my (ANCIENT) TV I have in my scraproom. I don't have cable anymore, but I hooked it up to my Xbox (you can see that in the bottom right hand corner of the pic) so I can stream Hulu Plus and Netflix to my TV as well as watch DVDs if I want to. I usually just stream b/c it is a PAIN IN THE tushy to get to the Xbox & the Xbox is just sitting on top of bins that are holding paper & thickers. I need to find someplace to put the Xbox so it is (a). Not blocking my supplies and (b). Easily accessible. The problem is that the TV is just on a folding try, so there is no shelves or anything under the tv to put it on. ALSO, I have to go through all the things in front of the Xbox that are blocking my access to it.
